Together with Lufthansa Group Eurowings stands up against discrimination
Social media campaign of Lufthansa Group network Diversifly together with allies and friends for the International Day against Homophobia, Bi-, Inter- and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT)

Most people remember years later on where they have been on some particular, historically significant date. But do you remember where you were 31 years ago today, May 17? That day also went down in history. It was only on May 17, 1990 that the United Nations World Health Organization (WHO removed homosexuality from the diagnostic key for diseases, meaning that until then homosexuality was considered to be a disease. A few years later, exactly this 17th of May was chosen for an international day of action to draw attention to the partially still existing discriminations of the LGBTIQ* community worldwide*.
On the occasion of this year's International Day against Homophobia, Bisexuality, Inter- and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT), Diversifly - the Lufthansa Group's LGBTIQ* network - is making a clear statement against exclusion and discrimination together with supportive and interested employees of Eurowings and the Lufthansa Group. In a joint social media campaign with the LGBTIQ* networks of other German companies, including Deutsche Bahn, Deutsche Telekom, Deutsche Post DHL, Vodafone and others, employees post selfies under the hashtags #QUEERatWORK #IDAHOBIT #Diversifly on their private social media channels. To increase the campaign's reach and attract more attention to the common cause, everyone is invited to also link to the Instagram channel diversifly.lhg or the social media channels of the Lufthansa Group companies.
*initially since 2005 as Idaho - International Day against homophobia, expanded over the years.
