It's the summer holiday season in Germany and many families are heading off on the long-awaited holiday. Just in time for the start of the peak travel season, Germany's largest holiday airline Eurowings has a very special surprise in store for children on board: 15,000 beach balls and 100,000 Schleich animal figures will be distributed to the youngest passengers on many Eurowings flights from Germany.
100,000 Schleich animal figures on board - from turtles to pterosaurs
This summer, 100,000 of the popular little animals are on board of many Eurowings flights from Germany and are looking forward to new owners. From horses to turtles to pterosaurs, there is something for every little guest. Those who take a holiday picture with the animal and send it in will also be entered into the Schleich competition, where passengers can win attractive prizes such as flight vouchers with Eurowings.
15,000 beach balls for hours of fun by the sea
Eurowings also has the right gift in its luggage for carefree days at the beach, bringing fun for the whole family. The Eurowings beach ball will put passengers in the mood for relaxing days by the sea or at the pool. Eurowings crews are currently handing out a total of 15,000 copies to parents and their children on numerous Eurowings flights from Germany.
"Beach balls are reminiscent of carefree and exuberant beach days at popular sun destinations such as Majorca, the Greek islands or Italy, which we are increasingly flying to again. Animal figures from Schleich have been among the most popular children's toys for generations. After the long period of lockdown, we are delighted to welcome families onboard of Eurowings flights this summer and offer them these gifts as a gesture of appreciation" says Lorenza Maggio, VP Product, Customer Experience & Marketing at Eurowings.
Eurowings’ little guests can enjoy the beach balls and Schleich animal figures on board while stocks last.
Comprehensive hygiene measures along the entire travel chain
However, it is not only the toys that ensure a carefree time on board Eurowings flights, but also extensive protective and hygiene measures along the entire travel chain, which Eurowings firmly established at an early stage. On all flights, Eurowings passengers benefit from an industry-leading health and hygiene concept. Wearing a mask on board remains mandatory.
"Eurowings Flight Guide” provides travel advise for every destination
Eurowings wants to support its passengers as best as possible in their travel planning. The Eurowings Travel Advisor informs passengers on a daily basis and with just a few clicks what needs to be observed at the respective destination.
Free middle seat bookable on all Eurowings flights
Passengers can reserve a free middle seat on all Eurowings flights in advance for as little as ten euros and book it online at www.eurowings.com . The free middle seat can also be booked later via the call centre or even shortly before departure at the check-in counter. A reservation is possible as long as there are still sufficient seats available on the booked flight. If a passenger decides to take advantage of the offer, the free seat is assigned to the booking and thus not allocated elsewhere.
Flexible rebooking options for all Eurowings flights
In addition to the Corona insurance, which offers maximum protection at the destination, Eurowings customers will continue to benefit from the existing flexible rebooking options and a basic return flight guarantee: passengers can change their Eurowings flights free of charge up to 40 minutes before departure, rebook as often as they like and change to another destination within Europe free of charge. Eurowings passengers who are already in their destination country are guaranteed to be returned to Germany in the event of a newly issued travel warning or a lockdown.
Stress-free baggage check-in thanks to evening-before check-in
Eurowings passengers who have booked a flight from Berlin, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Cologne/Bonn or Stuttgart can check in their luggage between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. the evening before, thus saving time on the day of departure. The offer also helps to reduce physical contact at busy check-in counters, especially at peak times with many departures. To ensure a smooth process, Eurowings recommends that its passengers check in online free of charge the evening before they check in their baggage. The entry documents required for the respective destination can also already be presented at the baggage check-in the evening before, so that passengers also receive their boarding pass for the next day right away and thus save time before departure.
