Due to a revision of the terminal layout at Hamburg Airport, several airlines will move to a different terminal overnight between 18 and 19 September which includes Eurowings. Previously, the airline operated from Terminal 2.
From 19 September 2018, Eurowings passengers will find the Eurowings check-in desk and baggage drop in Terminal 1 at Hamburg Airport.
The terminal swap is a result of an airport restructure following a change in building occupancy.
“As the market leader at Hamburg Airport, Eurowings can take full advantage of the increased capacities of Terminal 1. In Hamburg too, passenger traffic is increasing so we are pleased to be able to offer our passengers the necessary space for a quick turn-around,” says Andreas Hartmann, Head of Ground Operations at Eurowings.
Eurowings passengers will also be able to use Hamburg Airport's self-service bag drop starting 26 September. Passengers can then leave their luggage quickly and flexibly at one of ten self-service bag drop stations in Terminal 1, without having to queue at the check-in desk.
