COLOGNE/BONN – Eurowings celebrated its fifth anniversary at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol at the weekend, one of the airline’s planes having first landed at Amsterdam airport on 27.10.2013. In the meantime, the airline offers three routes out of Schiphol: Hamburg (twice a day), München (5 times a week) and Stuttgart (4 times a week). In total, more than 800,000 passengers have flown with Eurowings during the past five years.

“We’re very pleased to be celebrating our 5th anniversary in Amsterdam and, above all, we’re looking forward to celebrating many more milestones in the Netherlands,” said Markus Leopold, General Manager Business Development for Eurowings in the Netherlands.

As the market leader at six major German airports, Eurowings currently offers more than 210 destinations in over 50 countries worldwide.

The largest Eurowings location is Düsseldorf Airport, situated only 60 kilometres from the Dutch border. Eurowings has a more extensive route network at this airport than at any of its other locations. It now has 40 aircraft based in Düsseldorf and flies more than 1,750 times a week to 95 destinations in Germany and around the world.
