Eurowings is supporting the Balthasar children's and youth hospice in Olpe for the third year in a row. Michael Knitter, Managing Director of Eurowings, handed over a cheque with a value of 37,000 Euro to the director of the children's hospice Balthasar Rüdiger Barth.

"We would like to support the valuable work with the diseased children and young people and their families," said Michael Knitter.

The children's and youth hospice are not yet financed by the health and long-term care insurance funds to cover their costs; only a maximum of 50% of the total costs are covered by these funds. With the donated money it is possible for the hospice to gracefully accompany children and young people in the last stage of their lifes.

The donation amount of 37,000 euros was raised by Eurowings with the help of last year's Christmas party tombola and the entrance fees from a carnival event.
