From now on you can travel quickly, comfortably and cheaply from the Rhine to the Gulf of Trieste with Eurowings: An Airbus A319 took off at Konrad Adenauer Airport today (Sunday, 2 June) punctually at 7.00 a.m. towards northern Italy. The Adriatic city will be served every Thursday and Sunday by Eurowings in a one-and-a-half-hour flight. Tickets can be booked, for example, via the Eurowings App or on the Internet at www.eurowings.com. The tour operator Eurowings Holidays also offers package tours containing the new flight route on the homepage.

Eurowings' traditionally very strong range of services to Italy from North Rhine-Westphalia is therefore growing by another attractive city link. Trieste is the capital of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region in north-eastern Italy. The port city lies in the narrow region between the Adriatic coast and the border with Slovenia. The cityscape, which includes a medieval old town and a classicist Austrian quarter, is clearly influenced by Italy, Austria-Hungary and Slovenia.
