Yesterday, Wednesday 01 May, flight EW8170 from Berlin/Tegel landed for the first time at Franz-Josef-Strauß-Flughafen in Munich. The plane from Berlin will take off on the new top route between the capital and the Bavarian metropolis. From now on, travelers can use the popular direct connection four times a day and three times a day on weekends. From 17 May, a fifth connection will be added to the Friday timetable. Tickets are now available from €34.99 for one-way flights via eurowings.com or the Eurowings App.
On board of the first Eurowings flight with an Airbus A319 were about 80 passengers. The first flight from Munich to Berlin, which also took off at 09:15 yesterday, had 130 passengers on board. The flight time for the point-to-point connection is one hour and ten minutes.
The new Eurowings connection complements Lufthansa's services on this route. In spring 2019, the two airlines of the Lufthansa Group will offer more than 300 weekly flights between the Spree and Isar rivers.
