Eurowings supports school children in Düsseldorf with their applications
Eurowings employees carry out professional application coaching at the Realschule Benrath
Chief Operation Officer (COO) Michael Knitter praises commitment on both sides
As part of the "Destination Educational Opportunities" project for school children, which Lufthansa Group's help alliance aid organization launched in cooperation with Chancenwerk e.V. in 2015, two Eurowings employees today carried out a professional application coaching at the Benrath secondary school. The experts from the Eurowings Human Resources department, Kristina Tophinke and Caroline Schlangen, supported 26 students at three stations in their preparations on the topics of CV, cover letter and professional application pictures. The participating school children also received professional application photos from the Düsseldorf photographer Anja Meyer, who volunteered in the project.
"With the help of the application coaching, the students can probably enter for the first time into an exchange with a large company and learn first-hand what HR professionals pay particular attention to. We are pleased that we can realize this great opportunity for them through the cooperation with the help alliance," says Marwa Mohamad, Regional Team Leader of Chancenwerk e.V. for Duisburg and Düsseldorf.
Michael Knitter, COO at Eurowings, encouraged the school children in the discussion in Düsseldorf to use the further education opportunity within the learning project and to pursue their professional goals.
