Kai Duve, previously Head of Cabin Crews Frankfurt at Lufthansa starts as Board Member HR, Finance & IT at Eurowings as of 1 February 2022 and will henceforth be responsible for human resources, finance, IT, strategy and procurement. As a member of a three-person management team headed by CEO Jens Bischof, Duve succeeds Frank Bauer, who, after three years on the Eurowings Executive Board, is moving to the Lufthansa Group's finance division.

Frank Bauer will move to the Lufthansa Group’s Finance divsion with effect from February 1, 2022. In the future, he will head Corporate Controlling of the Lufthansa Group as Executive Vice President, where he will be responsible – among other things – for efficiency improvements and performance management across the Group. “Frank Bauer has worked with the teams to shape the financial turnaround of Eurowings and has consistently driven forward its implementation. This has enabled us to significantly improve the competitiveness of our Eurowings”, says Jens Bischof.
Kai Duve (53) had management responsibility for 15,000 flight attendants and pursers at Lufthansa in Frankfurt and at the foreign bases in Bangkok and New Delhi since 2016. Prior to that, the industrial engineer was responsible for corporate auditing at Lufthansa Group from 2009 to 2015. Between 2002 and 2009, Kai Duve gained many years of international experience as Director Finance & HR Asia/Pacific at Deutsche Lufthansa AG, based in Singapore, and as Director HR North America in New York. Kai Duve started his career in 1998, in the controlling department of Lufthansa Technik.
