7th Cross Mentoring of the Cologne Business Alliance "With Women in Leadership" gets underway
Getting more women into management positions is the core goal of the Cologne-based alliance "With Women in Leadership"
21 tandems from 14 companies get started

Eurowings and 13 other top companies have set themselves the common goal of taking the lead with women. With numerous activities, the member companies want to offer women as well as men equal development opportunities and set an example for Cologne as a business location. The active network was initiated in 2016 by Christine Kronenberg, founder and managing director of Female Resources. An important building block in the alliance is the cross-mentoring program for career-oriented women from the alliance companies. They are accompanied for 15 months by mentors from senior management or the executive level of a respective other company. The mentees are already successful female executives; at the kick-off event, they find out with which mentor they are now preparing their next career step. A total of 21 tandems are taking part. Also taking part for the first time are: Stadtwerke Troisdorf and the healthcare company pfm medical.
This time, the mentees from Eurowings are Christina Buescher, Product Owner Ground Operations IT, and Katharina Kusch, Product Owner Network Planning. Rene Rybka, Head of Network Management, Michael Haendel, Head of Network Management & Airport Relations at Eurowings, and Robert Jahn, Head of Ground & Customer Operations & Ops Steering, are also taking part in the mentoring role.
The start of the new cross-mentoring round and the assignment of the tandem partners took place on May 14 in the German Sport & Olympia Museum at Zollhafen 1, Cologne. "A total of about 130 mentees have meanwhile been supported in their career development by mentors with our CROSS MENTORINGs. More than 75% of the participating women have made a career move with Cross Mentoring, negotiated a better salary or, for example, started further studies. This is the measure of our mentoring success," says Christine Kronenberg. This year's patron is Member of the Bundestag Serap Güler, who joined from Berlin for a meeting of the Defense Committee.
