Flying away for the turn of the year: the most popular destinations for New Year's Eve

The short trip over the turn of the year – still one of the most popular travel occasions. New Year's Eve can be planned and celebrated in many places in Europe for the first time again without restrictions. While travelers decided to book their flights at much shorter notice in 2021, this year they were ready to book much earlier. Cities that can be reached quickly from Germany are particularly popular for a two- to three-day trip: whether it's partying on Las Ramblas in the Catalan beach metropolis or at the Brandenburg Gate in the hip capital, stopping off at a wine tavern in the city of Mozart, in one of the numerous pubs in the British capital or in a harbor pub in Germany's port city – Barcelona, Berlin, Vienna, Hamburg and London are especially popular with Eurowings guests.
