The Norwegian capital lies at the end of the Oslo Fjord, and a good third of all Norwegians live in the Oslo conurbation. The city is one of the country's largest commercial centres and home to numerous universities and colleges. In winter, the city, situated between the forest areas of the Oslomarka and the waters of the Oslofjord, offers countless winter sports opportunities in the area. Bygdøy Peninsula is home to several important museums such as Fram House, Kon-Tiki Museum, Maritime Museum and Viking Ship Museum.

Eurowings will fly to the Gardermoen Airport (OSL) in Oslo. The new airport is located around 50 kilometers north of the city and has been Norway's most important international airport since it opened in early 1997. The express train (Flytoget) connects the airport with the city centre in 23 minutes and there are also local trains. Buses (Flybuses) also run between the airport and various points in the city center.
