Eurowings has completed the first nine months of the year with stable operational performance and high customer satisfaction. Despite a challenging economic environment, the average load factor rose to 88 per cent during the peak summer travel season. Customer satisfaction, measured by the so-called Net Promoter Score (NPS), stood at 46 – a figure recognised as high within the industry. Eurowings’ crews played a key role in this result: 85 per cent of travellers gave them positive ratings, particularly for their professionalism and strong service focus. From January to September, more than 18 million passengers chose Germany’s largest leisure airline for their journeys on 129,000 flights.
Eurowings continues to expand its offering in Berlin
For the 2026/27 winter schedule, Eurowings is expanding its route network from Berlin, Cologne/Bonn, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Hanover and Stuttgart. New destinations and additional winter services will connect travellers with destinations in Northern and Southern Europe, the Canary Islands and Egypt. The expansion from Berlin is a particular focus. With two additional aircraft, increased frequencies and new winter routes to Bologna, Rome, Nice, Kuusamo and Lisbon, the airline is responding to recent market changes at Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER). Overall, Eurowings’ Berlin schedule will grow to 38 destinations in winter 2026/27.
More comfort with the Premium BIZ Seat
From 1 December 2026, the Premium BIZ Seat will be available on all Eurowings flights to Dubai and on selected services to London, Mallorca and Málaga. The new seating concept offers eight seats across the first two rows of the Airbus A320neo, arranged in a spacious 2-2 layout. Wider seats, more legroom, reclineable seat backs and adjustable leg rests provide extra space and comfort.
Lufthansa Group’s Point-to-Point business segment, including Eurowings and its investment in SunExpress, posted Adjusted EBIT of €214 million in the third quarter of 2026. For the first nine months of the year, Adjusted EBIT stood at minus €38 million. This reflects, in particular, a sharp increase in fuel costs as a result of the conflict in the Middle East, as well as the continued rise in taxes and fees in Germany.
