Handover at Eurowings Technik

On 1 July Holger Beck joins the management of Eurowings Technik, succeeding Alexander Heilmann

Holger Beck, responsible for Maintenance Transformation at Eurowings, will take over the management of Eurowings Technik on 1 July 2020. He succeeds Alexander Heilmann, who is retiring from the Executive Board and is going into part-time retirement at the end of September after 28 years of service for the Lufthansa Group. Until then, Alexander Heilmann will continue in the role of Accountable Manager 145 and Process Owner Quality within Lufthansa Group's Technical Fleet Management. These functions will be handed over on 1 October.

"In Holger Beck we have found an experienced manager who will take over responsibility for Eurowings Technik from Alexander Heilmann virtually seamlessly," says Michael Knitter, COO Eurowings. As Head of Maintenance Transformation, Holger Beck has worked closely with Alexander Heilmann in recent months - the best prerequisites for a smooth shift change in EWT's management. "As the first Managing Director, Alex Heilmann not only played a decisive role in the founding of Eurowings Technik and left a lasting mark on it, but also represented Eurowings and its interests in the Technical Fleet Management (TFM) of the Lufthansa Group and Lufthansa Technik," says Michael Knitter. The further development of EWT and its competitiveness will now be the task of Holger Beck and the EWT team.
