Eurowings further expands service to Dubai from Berlin

Eurowings continues to expand its presence at Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER). Following a significant increase in its 2026 summer flight schedule to 47 destinations and more than 230 weekly flights, the airline has announced its next expansion step ahead of the start of ITB, the world’s leading travel trade fair: for the first time, Eurowings will operate its popular Berlin–Dubai route beyond the traditional winter season. Travellers departing from BER will be able to fly to the desert metropolis up to eleven times per week until the end of April, followed by six weekly frequencies in May and June. By extending the service into early summer, the value airline is offering even greater flexibility and additional attractive travel options – especially for those who prefer guaranteed sunshine when temperatures in Berlin and Brandenburg can still be unpredictable.

In addition to its expanded Berlin schedule, the value airline is also extending its Dubai service beyond the winter season at other bases. Until mid-May, Eurowings will continue to connect Stuttgart (six weekly flights), Cologne/Bonn (four weekly flights) and Hanover (three weekly flights) with one of the Gulf region’s most attractive destinations.

In the current 2025/26 winter schedule, the significantly expanded services to the Gulf region have proven to be by far the most popular and successful routes – including Abu Dhabi. With a total of 31 weekly connections to Dubai from Berlin, Dusseldorf, Cologne/Bonn, Stuttgart and Hanover, Eurowings is offering more travel options than ever before.

New capital connection: Eurowings launches Berlin–Rome service

As part of its 2026 summer schedule, Eurowings is substantially expanding its presence at BER, with a particular focus on strengthening links to European capitals and major cities. For the first time, the value airline will connect Berlin with London (up to twelve weekly flights), Lisbon (up to three weekly flights) and Sarajevo (twice weekly). From 2 November, another European capital will join the network: Eurowings will launch a four-times-weekly service between Berlin and Rome, operating on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The offering is also becoming significantly more attractive for holidaymakers and families. The Mediterranean city of Olbia in Sardinia and Naples will each be served twice weekly in the future. During the peak season, the Greek city of Kavala will also be added to the route network with up to two weekly flights.

At the same time, Germany’s largest leisure airline is boosting frequencies on its most popular routes. Palma de Mallorca will see six additional weekly flights, Stockholm four more, while Zurich and Split will each gain two extra connections. Frequencies to Bilbao, Faro, Gothenburg, Helsinki and Larnaca will also be further increased, offering travellers even more flexibility and choice.

Palma de Mallorca remains the undisputed top destination in the route network: With up to 28 weekly flights, Eurowings is the leading airline on this route, carrying more than 150,000 passengers annually from BER to Europe’s most popular vacation island. Overall, the airline is offering Berlin’s leisure and business travellers over 2.3 million seats this year – around 700,000 more than three years ago.

Eurowings sets course for further growth in Berlin

With a large order of 40 Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft, valued at over five billion US dollars, Eurowings is laying the foundation for further growth opportunities in 2027 and beyond.
