New biometric service for HON Circle Members and Senators at BER airport
Berlin Brandenburg Airport is introducing BER Traveller – a digital service for biometric access control. Effective immediately, Lufthansa Group Airlines’ HON Circle Members and Senators – and therefore also flight guests from Eurowings – can enjoy the new service at BER. They previously had to show their boarding pass to get to the security control’s priority lane. This is now no longer necessary. Convenient and easy, these passengers now have fast access to the priority security control via a separate lane using facial recognition. More information

Baggage check-in made easy: the night before or via baggage machines
Eurowings offers an additional baggage check-in service the evening before for flights until the end of October: Travellers can drop off their baggage at the check-in counter between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. the day before for a service fee of five euros; the service can be used free of charge at the self-bag drop machines. This offer is valid at Berlin, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Hamburg and Stuttgart airports. Further details
In addition, there is the option of automatic baggage drop at the airports in Berlin, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Stockholm and Vienna. How the self-bag drop works, is explained on the Eurowings homepage.

Job application coaching: professional help for students
For the third time, Eurowings HR experts provided job application coaching for 9th and 10th grade pupils as part of the help alliance project “Destination Education”. This year, the job application training with professional photo shoot took place at the Europaschule, a comprehensive school in Cologne-Zollstock. The two Eurowings colleagues Diana Berg and Katja Lier were available to the young people during the coaching at various training stations on the topics of curriculum vitae, job interviews, career choice and cover letters, and gave them numerous tips and suggestions on how to prepare for and conduct a job interview. A professional photographer took photos of the participants, which they can later use for their job applications.
The Lufthansa Group aid organization help alliance GmbH and the educational association Chancenwerk e.V. have been cooperating for several years to support disadvantaged students on their educational path.
