Cup-winning plane: Bayer 04 Leverkusen returns from the DFB Cup final with Eurowings
Eurowings flew the newly crowned DFB Cup winner Bayer 04 Leverkusen back to Cologne from Berlin yesterday. European Football Championship: over 70 special flights with more than 13,000 additional seats
Eurowings expects the European Football Championships to create a boom in air travel from June onwards: Over 70 special flights with more than 13,000 additional seats are already planned from European airports – particularly on routes to and from the UK and Austria. This number may increase during the finals, and regular scheduled flights are also expected to be more fully utilised.

Renewed commitment to home base Cologne: joint campaign with Cologne/Bonn Airport
‘Mer Stonn Zesamme’, ‘Drink Doch Ene Met’, ‘Buenos Dias Matthias’ and ‘Kölle A Love’ – these are the four new humorous motifs in the Cologne dialect that can currently be seen in the city of Cologne as part of a joint marketing campaign by Eurowings and Cologne/Bonn Airport. After Eurowings already paid loving tribute to Cologne last year (‘Himmel un Ääd’; ‘Rut un Wiess’; ‘Zoröck en d'r Dom Rep’; ‘Kölner Highe’), the continuation underlines once again the local roots of the German holiday airline and shows that the value airline is an integral part of the cathedral city of Cologne. The attention-grabbing motifs are played on various advertising media: for example, on billboards, so-called large-scale billboards, and mega lights, as well as on “Edgar Free Cards”, free postcards that are available to take away in restaurants and clubs.
