Vortex generators: Small modification reduces aircraft noise

Girls’ Day 2023: Exciting insights in the cockpit and Eurowings Technik
On 27 April 2023, it was that time again: In the course of Girls’ Day 2023, Eurowings and Düsseldorf Airport welcomed around 60 inquisitive teenage girls. On the day, the participants were given exclusive insights into predominantly technical job profiles at the airport. In the Eurowings technical hall, the girls had the opportunity to get to know the world of pilots and technicians and to discover an aircraft cockpit and the technology of a Eurowings A319. In the cockpit, the schoolgirls looked over the shoulders of pilots Laura Wächtler and Sarah Oberholz, listened to exciting reports about their daily work above the clouds and asked lots of questions. Afterwards, the girls learned from Marlene Leutgeb, Teamleader Fleet Management, and other Eurowings Technik colleagues what is important during the outside check, the tour around the aircraft.
