Aerotelegraph media analysis 2023: Eurowings is the most popular European airline
What do people really think about airlines? This is revealed by the third annual ranking of the most popular airlines compiled by the trade magazine aerotelegraph and the media analysis specialist Unicepta. The study examined how airlines were perceived in the period from 1 June 2022 to 31 May 2023 – in terms of pricing, reliability, punctuality, service quality and customer orientation. Eurowings was able to place itself among the top ten as the most popular European airline. For the analysis, a total of more than 460 million sources in public media were evaluated – newspapers, online portals, and social media such as Twitter or Facebook. In contrast to other rankings, the aerotelegraph media analysis is not based on a jury of experts, but on the subjective assessments of customers and thus records the personal likeability and antipathy values for airlines. Beachballs on board: Children's eyes light up
Fun for the whole family at the pool or by the sea: With the start of the summer vacation in North Rhine-Westphalia, Eurowings crews have once again been handing out beachballs on numerous flights. Almost 30,000 balls will be handed out to young guests over the summer, making the anticipation of summer vacations even greater for young and old alike.

“Beachballs are a reminder of carefree and exuberant days at popular sun destinations, and we are delighted to welcome families on board again this summer and present them with these gifts as a gesture of appreciation,” said Lorenza Maggio, Head of Customer Experience & Marketing at Eurowings.

Group bookings of up to 30 passengers possible in real time
From now on, a new online tool makes it easier for Eurowings customers to request and book larger groups of up to 30 passengers: The solution, which was set up in close cooperation with Lufthansa Systems, allows interested parties to request their desired data for a group trip via a separate, interactive booking section on the Eurowings homepage. They can then book the offer they receive directly online in just a few steps. This reduces the waiting time for customer inquiries from previously up to 48 hours to just a few minutes.
