Free ski transport on flights to Austria
The first ski resorts are already open and the Austrian regions in the west (Salzburg, Tirol) and south (Styria, Carinthia) are preparing for a long season. In keeping with this, Eurowings is offering its passengers free ski baggage transport on routes from Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and the United Kingdom to Innsbruck, Graz and Salzburg. The prerequisite is a booking via the Eurowings homepage and registration as a myEurowings customer.

  • To Graz: direct flight from Berlin, Dusseldorf, Hamburg and connecting flights from London-Heathrow, Stockholm
  • To Innsbruck: direct flight from Berlin, Hamburg, Stockholm
  • To Salzburg: direct flight from Amsterdam, Berlin, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, and connecting flights from Edinburgh, London-Heathrow, Stockholm, Tromsø

Erfurt to become 26th Mallorca airport for Eurowings
From spring 2024, Eurowings will fly several times a week from Erfurt to Palma de Mallorca: the value airline will initially connect Erfurt-Weimar Airport with the popular Spanish holiday island of Mallorca three times a week (Mon, Thu, Sat) from 1 April, with the frequency being increased to four times a week (including Tue) from 20 May. Baggage drop-off the evening before also possible in the winter months
At Berlin, Dusseldorf, Hamburg and Cologne-Bonn airports, baggage drop-off the evening before is now also available throughout the winter flight schedule: Travellers can check in their baggage for all Eurowings flights at the check-in counter the day before for a service fee of five euros. The service is available for all flights until 12 noon on the following day. Passengers can find the exact times for baggage drop-off on the Eurowings homepage.

“Fresh forest for NRW”: Eurowings and Dusseldorf Airport plant 2,500 trees
Together with Dusseldorf Airport, Eurowings supports a reforestation project in the immediate vicinity of the airport. In the presence of Lars Redeligx, Chairman of the Airport Management Board, Edi Wolfensberger, Eurowings COO, and Gerhard Schroeder as a representative of the private airport shareholder AviAlliance, the last of a total of 2,500 trees have been planted recently in a wooded area near Dusseldorf-Angermund. Following local climate protection initiatives in the Königsmoor near Hamburg and in the Königsforst in Cologne, Eurowings is also involved in a project in the immediate vicinity of its largest and most important base. JvM Spree becomes lead agency for Eurowings
Jung von Matt's Berlin agency, JvM Spree, has won the pitch at Eurowings and is now working for the Lufthansa subsidiary.
