Eurowings significantly expands its offer at Nuremberg Airport

Eurowings is significantly expanding its presence at Nuremberg Airport and extending its range of direct destinations. A total of 10 attractive holiday and city destinations in Europe are on the 2024 summer flight schedule, including the new destinations Rome, Nice and Bastia, which Eurowings is flying to for the first time. Eurowings is thus doubling the capacity on offer for travellers from Nuremberg. In addition, the airline will connect the Franconian metropolis with Hamburg six times a week from the start of the 2024/25 winter timetable. As part of this programme expansion, Eurowings is stationing an Airbus A320 aircraft at the airport. This makes Nuremberg Airport the thirteenth Eurowings base in Europe and part of the growth strategy of Germany's largest holiday airline.  

At a media event, Eurowings Chief Operating Officer (COO) Edi Wolfensberger, together with the airport's Managing Director Dr Michael Hupe and Dr Andrea Heilmaier, Economic and Scientific Officer of the City of Nuremberg, gave the symbolic launch of the new Eurowings base. Earlier, a Eurowings aircraft arriving from Rhodes had already been greeted with a water fountain by the Nuremberg Airport fire brigade after landing.

Our guests will benefit from our value concept, which addresses the core needs of today's air travellers with flexibility, comfort and sustainability. Our increased programme is also a clear commitment to Nuremberg as an aviation centre and the entire region.”
