Eurowings with strong performance in 2025

The airline Eurowings ended 2025 with a strong operational performance and consistently high customer satisfaction. Around 72 percent of the 170,000 flights reached their destination on time. Eurowings achieved a reliability rate of over 99 percent and responded to the sustained high demand, particularly for tourist flights, with a significant expansion of its program. A total of 23.7 million passengers chose Germany's largest holiday airline between January and December 2025.

"We are delighted that we were able to offer our guests such an excellent performance," says Eurowings CFO Kai Duve. "Overall, we welcomed over 900,000 additional guests on board compared to the previous year and flew them to 150 different destinations across Europe. The fact that around two-thirds of our customers actively recommend Eurowings is the result of a strong team effort with a clear focus on quality, reliability and customer orientation. It also reflects Eurowings' expansion into the value airline for Europe."

The increase in active recommendations for Eurowings compared to 2024 underscores passengers' growing confidence in the brand and the tangible impact of various customer-oriented initiatives. The well-known aviation rating agency Skytrax has also recognized the sustainable quality strategy and named Eurowings "Best Low-Cost Airline in Europe 2025". With this prestigious award, Skytrax is honoring the consistent service offensive and persuasive price-performance ratio of Germany's largest holiday airline.

Eurowings establishes its own tour operator

Eurowings has expanded its business activities and founded its own tour operator, Eurowings Holidays. Since its launch a year ago, Eurowings Holidays has continuously expanded its portfolio and now offers trips to 60 countries in Europe and selected international destinations. The selection of hotels has been expanded to around 16,000 hotels. With low deposits and the option of free rebooking and low-cost cancellation, customers benefit from maximum flexibility. With this strategic new venture and the successes achieved so far, Eurowings has reached an important milestone in the growing tourism business.

Eurowings faces largest fleet modernization in its history

In January 2025, the Lufthansa Group decided to allocate a total of 40 brand-new Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft that had been ordered to Eurowings. The aircraft are scheduled for delivery between 2027 and 2032. This means that Eurowings is facing the largest fleet modernization in its corporate history. With the addition of brand-new Boeing aircraft, Eurowings is laying the foundation for additional profitable growth options.

All in all, Eurowings – including its stake in SunExpress – achieved a result of €132 million (adjusted EBIT) in 2025. The number of employees rose to just under 5,500.
