Setting a mark for Europe

The ‘Yes to Europe’ Airbus A320neo as a guest in Nuremberg

Summary
  • Eurowings and Airport Nuremberg call for European elections
  • Campaign with airport employees in front of the aircraft

Nuremberg Airport's flight schedule includes more than 60 non-stop destinations, most of them in Europe. The passengers are international, as is the airport's workforce with employees from 28 nations. Together with Eurowings, Nuremberg Airport has now called for participation in the European elections.

With the clear statement ‘Yes to Europe’ on the fuselage of an Airbus A320neo, Eurowings, together with the Lufthansa Group, is sending a visible signal in favour of a united, free and peaceful Europe and promoting participation in the EU elections. Airport employees came together with colleagues from Eurowings for a photo in front of the ‘Yes to Europe’ aircraft on the apron to jointly promote participation in the elections.

‘We are actively calling on people to vote on Sunday because every vote counts and voting protects against extremism. As an international commercial airport, we maintain daily connections to our neighbouring European countries, strengthen economic ties and bring people together. Voting means taking responsibility for a Europe that remains free,’ says Airport Managing Director Dr Michael Hupe.

‘As Eurowings, we show our affinity with Europe in our brand name - which is why we feel particularly committed to the European idea. With our ‘Yes to Europe’ Airbus as a flying ambassador, we are sending a clear message for the European elections to take a stand and strengthen democracy - not only at an altitude of ten kilometres, but also everywhere on the ground - and today here in Nuremberg,’ says Eurowings CEO Jens Bischof.
